TEVETON 2002 Comes To Los Angeles.

Fundacion Teleton MexAmerica presents “Teveton 2002”: “Juntos Haremos el Milagro”, a concert and fundraising event joining Latinos in a common cause to provide education and services to children with disabilities in Mexico. On Wednesday, November 20, 2002, at the Beverly Hills Hotel, top Latin celebrities along with the organizers of the Telethon in Mexico (“Teleton”) will address the media to announce “Teveton 2002”coming to the United States, to Los Angeles this December.

The “Teveton 2002” telethon and concert serves to unite the Latin community, giving Latinos the opportunity to honor, celebrate, support and respect these children with disabilities in México. “Teveton 2002” seeks to help improve the standard of living among these children in Mexico as well as to better prepare the Latin community for the challenges of these children. Proceeds from the Teveton will sponsor the rehabilitation process of over 7,000 children in the 4 rehabilitation centers built by Teleton in Mexico. The 5-hour concert event on December 6th will feature top Latin talent such as Mexican sensation Lupillo Rivera, (2002 Billboard Latin Music Award winner for best Regional Mexican Album and Best New Artist – Regional Mexican), Patricia Manterola, Cardenales de Nuevo Leon, Limite, Palomo, Kinky, Yaguaru among other special guests. The exciting evening will involve leaders from the Latin community, entertainment and political world, all uniting in this noble cause to help these disabled children to lead happy and productive lives.
