What Does Oil, Flour, Mayonnaise & Soup Have To Do With Alejandro Fernández?

Mexican singer and actor Alejandro Fernández kicks off a much-anticipated Mazola-sponsored fall tour of three U.S. cities Sunday, Oct. 20, at New York’s Madison Square Garden. The tour, which will include performances by Alejandro’s father, legendary Mexican screen and recording star, Vicente Fernández, will see both artists also take the stage at the Miami Arena (Nov. 3) and Los Angeles’ Universal Amphitheater (Nov. 8, 9 and 10). Unilever-Bestfoods brands, Knorr Products, Hellmann’s and Best Foods and Lipton Soup Secrets are co-sponsoring the tour.

“Mazola’s title sponsorship of concerts by big-name Latin artists is an annual tradition” said Carolyn Wise, Mazola Corn Oil Marketing Director. “This year, we are very proud to sponsor Alejandro Fernández, whose soulful style has allowed a new generation of Latinos to rediscover the eternal sound of romantic Mexican music.”

“Hispanic consumers play a very important role in the success of our products, several of which are made specifically with the Hispanic taste in mind,” said Eddie Lindley, Knorr® Brand Manager, Hispanic markets.

As part of its title sponsorship of this famous father-and-son concert tour, Mazola Corn Oil together with co-sponsors Knorr Products, Hellmann’s and Best Foods Mayonnaise, and Lipton Soup Secrets will donate a total of $10,000 among three local charities in the concert cities New York’s Committee for Hispanic Children and Families, Miami’s Centro Mater Child Care Center, and the Chicana Service Action Center of Los Angeles. Concert attendees will also receive a $5 discount on their concert ticket with proof of purchase (cash register receipt with product name and price) of any of the sponsoring brands.
