Christensen – VP & GM of HBC Los Angeles Radio Cluster.

sHispanic Broadcasting Corporation announced the appointment of Ken Christensen as vice president and general manager, effective May 14, 2001, of KLVE-FM, KTNQ/KRCD/KRCV-FM, and KSCA-FM, all serving the Los Angeles market.

Mr. Christensen will report directly to Gary Stone, Chief Operating Officer of Hispanic Broadcasting Corporation headquartered in Dallas, Texas. Mr. Christensen will be responsible for all aspects of the Los Angeles station operations, including sales, programming, promotions and marketing.

Mr. Christensen was vice president/general manager for KFI-AM, KOST-FM and STAR 98.7-FM for Clear Channel Los Angeles from 1995 to 2001. Mr. Christensen brings with him over 20 years experience in radio and has a proven track record of radio success evident most recently in LA where the three stations he managed enjoyed top 10 billing.

Mr. Stone commented, “Ken’s experience coupled with his familiarity of Los Angeles radio guarantee continued success in the Los Angeles market. His reputation, level of enthusiasm, and his ability to lead makes this a win-win situation for all, especially HBC LA.”
