The Texas Association of Broadcasters paid tribute to McHenry T. Tichenor Jr. for his achievements in broadcasting.
TAB honored Tichenor as its Broadcaster of the Year for his dedication and leadership in the broadcast profession. As CEO of Hispanic Broadcasting Company, he is responsible for nearly 50 radio stations, including the No. 1 Spanish-language station in 10 of the top 13 markets in America.
The Tichenor family has been involved in broadcasting to the Hispanic community for many decades, which was started by Mac Tichenor, Jr.’s granfather.
