Perez named GM of Univision Radio New York.

Univision Radio announced the appointment of Felix Perez as general manager of Univision Radio New York.
 
“Felix’s rich media background, leadership skills and management experience are important assets for Univision Radio as we continue to gain positive momentum in terms of ratings and sales,” said Jose Valle, president of Univision Radio. “We are thrilled to have his experience, creativity and vision as we work to serve our diverse New York listeners with the content they crave.”   
 
Adds Perez, “As a native New Yorker and a person familiar with WXNY (96.3FM), WADO (1280AM) and WQBU (92.7FM), as well as the competitive New York radio landscape, I am thrilled to be working with an excellent group of professionals as we continue to grow Univision Radio’s properties.”  
 
Most recently, Perez was CEO and president of Davidson Media Group (DMG), a multicultural radio group with 31 stations in 13 states and 16 markets. In this position, he was responsible for setting strategy, leading operations, station transactions and maximizing cash flow. Prior to his time at DMG, Perez held various senior management positions at ESPN, Entravision, Katz Media and Univision.
