Texans Partner With HBC For Hispanic Radio Broadcasts.

The Houston Texans announced that they have agreed to a four-year deal with Dallas-based Hispanic Broadcasting Company. HBC will be the club’s Spanish language radio broadcast partner and thus receives the exclusive right to broadcast Texans football games and produce numerous ancillary programs featuring the team.

The Texans’ new Spanish language flagship station will be La Tremenda KLAT 1010 AM. KLAT will broadcast all Texans games, home and away, with pre-game and post-game shows. In addition, the station will broadcast a one-hour weekly Texans show during the season and produce daily features on the Texans and the National Football League.

KLAT and its affiliate stations will also work together with the Texans on various promotions, including the Texans Draft Day Party and NFL En Español.

“We are thrilled to have HBC as our broadcast partner with the Texans,” says Jamey Rootes, the club’s Senior Vice President/Marketing

Sales. “I think we’re breaking new ground within the NFL due to the comprehensive nature of this relationship. This broadcasting partnership will serve as the foundation for our Hispanic outreach program throughout Houston and across the region.”

“We are excited to be working with the Texans,” says HBC Vice President/General Manager Mark Masepohl. “We view this as a tremendous opportunity to build a relationship between the Texans, the NFL and the Hispanic community.”
