Strongin named SVP of Audio Sales and Client Solutions at Univision

Univision Communications Inc. announced the promotion of Jason Strongin to Senior Vice President of Audio Sales and Client Solutions, effective immediately, as part of a broader strategic change to its nationwide audio sales structure. In this role, he will oversee all audio sales and work closely with network, digital, regional, and local leadership to drive cross-channel audio sales, including network radio, national spot, local spot, experiential, digital audio, and audio client solutions across the United States. Strongin will report directly to Jesus Lara, President of Radio, and will continue to be based in Los Angeles, California.
 
Additionally, the following executives have been promoted or taken on expanded roles that will help drive the future growth of Univision’s Uforia audio platforms. Appointments include:
 

  •     Vince Badolato, Vice President of Network Radio, takes on an expanded role across all network radio, with added responsibilities to drive digital audio and podcasting sales.
  •     Karima Khawja, Vice President, Business Development, will now lead audio business development across national and network sales.
  •     Carolina Santamarina, Vice President, Experiential Sales, will now also oversee the experiential production and execution of the Uforia solutions portfolio.

    In an effort to streamline sales strategies regionally, Marie Barden, has been promoted to Vice President, Audio Sales, Houston/Central region and Eric Garcia, has been promoted to Vice President, Audio Sales, New York/Eastern region. In these new and expanded positions, they will work closely with Strongin to ensure that key sales priorities and best practices are being implemented across Uforia stations nationwide. Barden and Garcia will continue to serve in their primary roles driving audio sales locally in Houston and New York, respectively.

Strongin joined Univision in 2006 as Local Sales Manager at Univision Los Angeles. Prior to joining Univision, he held sales management positions at iHeart Media and the KATZ Media Group.
