Rodriguez named Executive Creative Director at McCann XBC

McCann XBC announced that Joel Rodriguez has joined as Executive Creative Director. Rodriguez will partner with Pete Jones, ECD, McCann XBC, to lead the business in the US as part of the global creative team led by Chairman and Chief Creative Officer, Joyce-King Thomas.

McCann XBC, formed in 2012, is an agency dedicated to MasterCard that works alongside additional McCann Worldgroup companies such as MRM//McCann and Interpublic agencies such as RGA and Octagon.

“We spent several months searching for someone who could help us take our work to the next level visually—as well as conceptually—and we are very happy to have found Joel,” said Joyce King-Thomas, Chairman and Chief Creative Officer, McCann XBC.

Rodriguez has worked at many of the top creative shops in the United States, including TBWA\Chiat\Day NY, Goodby Silvertien, Fallon, BBDO, and has also collaborated with W+K Portland, CP+B Miami, and Grey NY.  He has created high-profile work for such leading global brands as Fed Ex, Guinness, Sprint, Sony, Adidas, MTV and Chevy. He is the winner of Cannes Lions, One Show Pencils and EFFIES as well as many other awards.
