Telemundo and NBC Universo names Horizon Media AOR

Horizon Media announced that NBC Universal’s TELEMUNDO and NBC UNIVERSO have both retained the agency as media agency of record (AOR) following a review.

“We’re excited to continue our partnership with these great brands,” said Serena Duff, EVP, General Manager of Horizon Media’s Los Angeles office. “We look forward to continuing to drive growth and expanding awareness for both TELEMUNDO and NBC UNIVERSO, leveraging our insights into Hispanic consumers in new and inventive ways, and firmly positioning the networks as leading destinations for high-quality content in the minds of Latino consumers.”

Horizon Media retained the business after a review led by NBC Universal, and will handle strategic planning, activation and analytics responsibilities across all communications channels for TELEMUNDO and NBC UNIVERSO. In addition to marketing top sports franchises for each network — including the networks’ Premier League offerings and FIFA World Cup action beginning this May — marketing for TELEMUNDO will promote the network’s successful telenovela, super series, and reality programming formats; while marketing for NBC UNIVERSO will also promote the network’s edgy original and acquired series, music offerings and blockbuster movies.
