Tono Studios mixes Dish Latino’s Newest Ad For Havas Worldwide

Tono Studios collaborated with Havas Worldwide’s Chicago office to create Dish Latino’s new comedic spot starring actor Eugenio Derbez. Tono was tasked with mixing the elements as well as adding organic ambiance and effects to flesh out the advertisement and give it a realistic sound.

“All the people involved in this piece were very proactive, from the producer to the creative, and that gave me the chance to explore and give suggestions for the mix,” said Tono co-founder Zapata. “For instance, the Mariachi band in the commercial was recorded at full studio quality, but the picture was asking for a more organic sound, so I processed it to give the Mariachi a street sound we all loved it. I also added a background that fills the street with enough children’s voices and other realistic sounds to authenticate what you can see in the picture.”

Gilda Zevallos, the Senior Producer for this project commented, “This was a project we had to put special attention to all the post production details.
From editing, to VFX’s to music and sound, nothing was to be taken lightly. For sound we selected Tono Studios, as we needed craftsmen who understand
the subtleties of the culture and can apply them to the work. The results spoke for themselves: first launch day we had 100K+ views!”
