What does soccer and social media have in common?

Social Media Day is an international celebration popularized by Mashable, the world’s leading social media publication. MCG Latino, on behalf of Ford Motor Company, socialized with 500 top influencers, speakers and enthusiasts from South Florida during Miami’s Social Media Day.

Everyone was encouraged to use #YoSoyMas (the official Camisetrón campaign hash tag) in addition to #SMDayMiami, a strategic move that allowed #YoSoyMas to be the second “TOP 10 Trending Topics on Twitter” in Miami that day.Miami’s Social Media Day took place at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts where MCG Latino’s team secured a panel presentation, an interactive exhibit and the use of #YoSoyMas for all online interactions.

MCG Latino’s director, Fernando Rodríguez led the panel presentation of Ford’s Camisetrón online soccer-themed campaign, which allowed soccer fans to select up to three countries and mix them in an exclusive jersey that represents the countries that live in their hearts.

As part of the event, MCG Latino created an interactive exhibit with a 6’ soccer ball as the centerpiece. Attendees took photos holding a soccer team’s flag and received a T-shirt after they posted the photo on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram using #YoSoyMas and @FordEspanol <https://twitter.com/FordEspanol> .
