Merrill Lynch Lowers Televisa’s Ratings Due To Stalled Negotiations With Univision.

Merrill Lynch has cut its rating of Grupo Televisa to accumulate from buy.
Merrill Lynch is concerned about the negotiations with Univision Communications, Inc., which they feel have been stalled and Televisa will not be able to deliver on their pledge of a new contract with Univision by the end of June 2001.
Televisa has been persuing a larger share of Univision Communications in exchange for programming for the Univision second network.
