Creative Artists Agency (CAA) announced the hiring of Jorge Insua, a former producer for “The Oprah Winfrey Show” and the hit Spanish language talk show “The Cristina Show.” Insua joins CAA’s Talent Department.

Most recently a talent manager for artists including television host Cristina Saralegui, Chilean actor Cristián de la Fuente (“Family Law”, “Driven”), and Mexican singer/actress Patricia Manterola, Insua’s roots are in television production. He began his career as a production assistant on “The Oprah Winfrey Show” and quickly rose the ranks to producer. As senior supervising producer of “The Christina Show,” the #1-rated talk show on Spanish television, Insua oversaw all aspects of production, including creative content, on-air promotions, and publicity.

“Jorge has a great track record, he’s aggressive and he has an exceptional eye for talent,” said CAA managing partner Kevin Huvane. “We look forward to him joining the team.”

Insua has also served as executive consultant to Sony Television/Latin America on original programming for Spanish language network Telemundo. He advised on issues of Spanish-language remakes of television series, casting, marketing, and production.
