Mendoza Dillon Wins Four 2002 Telly Awards.

Mendoza Dillon has been awarded four 2002 Telly Awards for outstanding creativity and production values. A Silver went to the Nabisco Biscuit Co.’s Oreo commercial entitled “Playhouse”, two Bronze Telly Awards for its commercial “Shadow/Brochure” for the Partnership for a Drug Free America and the Office of National Drug Control Policy, and another Bronze for its “Back to School” commercial for Sears Roebuck.

“Hispanic consumers are more demanding every day. They don’t want ‘show and tell’ commercials anymore. They want spark, surprise, and interesting 30-second stories to watch,” said Elena Lomeli, VP Creative Director, winner of three of the four awards. “That’s why we advertisers must create more out-of-the-box commercials that not only keep the attention of consumers, but move them to buy.”

The directors who participated in the production of these winning spots: Marcelo Páez for PDFA/ONDCP, Eddie Linenberg for Nabisco and Patricio Suárez for Sears, all of them from America Film Productions.

“We are challenging ourselves everyday,” mentioned Ingrid Otero-Smart, President and COO. “Pushing the envelope has been our motto for the past months, and we can see the fruits already.”
