Superstar and Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame inductee Carlos Santana has recorded a new version of "La Primavera" featuring Jerry Rivera, Latin top selling artist. The song has been chosen as the first single of the upcoming BMG compilation "La Primavera." The album will be in stores on July 24.

The original song "Primavera" which was produced and co-written by KC Porter and found on Santana's historic Grammy winning CD "Supernatural" inspired the project. The song has added lyrics by well-known producer Kike Santander and his brother Gustavo Santander. The new Carlos Santana/Jerry Rivera duet was delivered to Latin radio and crossover formats on June 18, 2001.

Gabriel Alvarez, General Manager for BMG US Latin said "We are thrilled to have the combined talents of Carlos Santana and Jerry Rivera in "La Primavera." We are pleased to maximize Carlos Santana into the U.S. Hispanic airwaves and extend the artist' presence in our marketplace."
