Marketing y Medios presented the 2006 Hispanic Marketers of the Year Awards.

Adweek’s Marketing y Medios announced its second annual Hispanic Marketers of the Year last night at the opening dinner of the Association of National Advertisers’ (ANA) Multicultural Marketing Conference.

Six honorees were recognized from five companies:

– Michael Benson and Marla Provencio, co-senior vps, marketing advertising
and promotion, ABC Entertainment

– Marimé Riancho, senior brand manager, multicultural markets, Heineken USA

– Rick Marroquin, director, Hispanic marketing, McDonald’s

– Lara Montilla, senior manager of multicultural marketing, Pepsi-Cola North America

Isaac Mizrahi, director of multicultural marketing, Sprint Nextel

“This year’s winners were living proof of the new heights reached by Hispanic marketing,” said Marketing y Medios’ editor Laura Martínez.

“What an honor it is to be recognized by Marketing y Medios’ for focusing on a growing and very important market, one that is not only important to Sprint but that is helping shape the very framework of our country,” said Sprint’s Mizrahi. “Wireless services are changing the way we live, work and play, and Sprint is at the forefront in providing the Hispanic community innovative products and services, giving customers the power to do more in more places.”
