HBC Acquires WJTW-FM In Chicago.

Hispanic Broadcasting Corporation (HBC) announced that it has agreed to acquire certain assets of WJTW(FM) from NextMedia Operating, Inc. and affiliates (“NextMedia”). WJTW(FM) operates at 93.5 MHz, is licensed to Joliet, Illinois, and serves Joliet, Chicago and surrounding communities. The HBC entered into this agreement after acquiring and exercising an outstanding option to acquire certain assets of WJTW(FM) together with the assets associated with a new transmitter site from Lakeshore Media, LLC (“Lakeshore”). The total purchase price for the NextMedia assets, the Lakeshore option and transmitter assets is approximately $32 million.
