Mega TV celebrates 1st Anniversary.

Mega TV Channel 22 celebrated its first-year anniversary yesterday at Bongos Cuban Café with a star-studded event that featured prominent members of the Miami business, entertainment, philanthropic and journalist communities.

With a spectacular background setting of a beautifully lit downtown Miami, Mega TV’s red carpet celebration began at 7:00 p.m. As guests arrived, they were welcomed to a glorious red carpet lined with fire-burning torches, carnival dancers and a Bongo player..

Mariela Encarnacion, hostess of Mega TV show, “LaMusica.com,” was on hand to welcome guests, including Mexican soap opera television Impresario, Emilio Estefan, Jr.; reggaeton sensation, Mauricio Islas; legendary Cuban musicians, Israel “Cachao” Lopez and Generoso Jimenez; Mexican actress, Geraldine Bazan;,musician and record producer, Alexis y Fido; Grammy winner, Hector el Father; pianist, Angel Lopez;, musician, Arthur Hanlon; and the dynamic music group Lu.

Mr. Raul Alarcón Jr., CEO and President of Spanish Broadcasting System, said, “The gala was a wonderful celebration of Mega TV’s tremendous growth and progress to-date. Within one year we have created a dynamic Hispanic television brand that has transformed the Miami television market. During the celebration, a video reel highlighted the various programs that have aired on Mega TV, and also showcased television personalities, news magazine features, producers and directors.
