Together with her friend “Boots”, she encounters different challenges that she can only overcome with the help of the audience.

The show, designed with preschoolers in mind, teaches little kids problem-solving skills. Strategies for problem-solving like stopping to think, asking for help, and using what you know, are modeled in every “Dora the Explorer” episode. Viewers are also asked to be active participants, not only to answer questions, but they are also asked to get off the couch and move their bodies to emulate Dora and her friends.
