Telemundo To Launch ‘Mujeres Apasionadas’.

“Mujeres Apasionadas” (Passionate Women), the latest hit from the creators of the unforgettable Lazos de Familia, comes to Telemundo. This novela, which is sure to captivate viewers with the various stories of women who love without boundaries, premieres Monday, January 19 at 10PM/9c.

The main plot focuses on Helena, an attractive forty-something year old woman, married for several years, who starts having serious doubts about her life and her marriage when she runs into an old flame. It is then that she begins to ask herself some very difficult questions: Has she been truly happy all these years? Is this all life has to offer? Is it too late to give herself a second chance in love? Helena’s life will go into turmoil as she struggles between the stable and serene life she leads and the life of passion and excitement she dreams of having.

“Mujeres Apasionadas” touches upon diverse types of love relationships through its numerous stories: the innocent love between a naive young couple; the controversial love between two teenagers of the same sex; the ageless love between an older woman and a young man; the perfect love of the ideal marriage; the forbidden love between a sensual woman and a priest; the obsessive love of someone who loves without boundaries; the painful love of a passionate yet violent relationship; and the maternal love of a single mother towards her daughter.
