Telemundo: Special Series On Hate Crimes Against Latinos In The US.

Although many go unreported, hate crimes against Latinos in the United States have increased, according to recent FBI reports and the National Council of La Raza. Telemundo Network will broadcast “Viven para odiar,” a special series of investigative reports beginning February 19th through the 22nd at 6:30PM (EST\PST) only on Noticiero Telemundo, presenting an in-depth look into the growing cycle of these crimes against Latinos.

Racial supremacy stems from the belief that one race is superior to the rest. Such is the belief of the White supremacist movement and their crimes committed against Latinos based on race, culture, religion and sexual preference. On “Viven para odiar,” Telemundo correspondent Cristina Londoño presents an often shocking and unbiased look into these violent and troubling acts of hate. Traveling across the U.S. to present a wide perspective from both sides of the story, Ms. Londoño interviews both the supporters as well as victims of these heinous crimes, and reveals how hate groups often reach young children while not raising the slightest suspicion of their parents.

Based out of Miami, Florida, Cristina Londoño is a seasoned journalist, having covered issues of national and international importance including the Elián González saga, the visit of Pope John Paul II to the Holy Land, the Vieques Conflict in Puerto Rico, and the Dominican Republic elections, among many others.
