Doctor Vet Los Angeles premieres Nat Geo Mundo

The animal kingdom requires order and care – with the help of three of the most talented veterinarians in California, furry friends and exotic animals alike will live better and healthier lives. In the second season of this original series, Nat Geo Mundo continues the journey alongside Dr. Georgina Márquez, Dr. Carlos López and Dr. Giselle Concepción encountering the challenges faced when caring for dogs, cats, horses, snakes and even a peacock in Doctor Vet Los Angeles.

The four-part series premieres Sunday, April 6 at 9PM ET/PT on Nat Geo Mundo, and takes viewers behind the scenes as these Latino vets take care of sickly animals both in California and in their home countries, ensuring a happy ending in even the most dire of circumstances.

The vets, who came to LA from Mexico, Guatemala and Puerto Rico, are living their dreams and caring for animals in emergency and routine cases. Dr. Georgina Márquez is a renowned veterinarian specializing in internal medicine. She travels back to Mexico to visit her mentor and save the lives of pets in need of emergency care…but will she have time to see her family and enjoy their company while there?

Dr. Carlos López also heads back home to his native Guatemala to care for exotic animals as he does in his Anaheim clinic. After reuniting with his family while there, Dr. López will face a challenge that requires tremendous courage; treating a ferocious lion.

Balancing a hectic schedule is the name of the game for Dr. Giselle Concepción. She’s a single-mom that works at both a sophisticated canine rehabilitation center practicing acupuncture and a mobile clinic helping pets all around the city. With three dogs of her own, she understands the fear and heartbreak owners face when their pet’s health is at risk.
