Hernandez joins Univision Miami

Univision Miami announced the appointment of journalist Ambrosio Hernandez as chief anchor in an expanded role that includes Local TV, Radio and Digital. Hernandez, an eight-time Emmy award and Silver Circle award winner, joins Alina Mayo-Azze, Guillermo Benites, Mario Andres Moreno, Gloria Ordaz, Armando Perez Roura, Martha Flores, Ninoska Perez Castellon, Bernadette Pardo and Lourdes D’Kendall.
 
Hernandez first joined Univision in 1987 as co-anchor of “5 y 30 en Punto” on Univision 23 and then went on to be co-anchor of Univision Network’s “Noticias y Mas” and “Al Mediodia.” He most recently served as senior anchor at Telemundo 51 a position he held for 25 years. Hernandez started his career in Chicago as a radio anchor for Radio Latina AM and then Radio Ambiente FM in Chicago. He moved to Miami in 1984 and worked for Union Radio and SuperQ FM, part of WQBA.
