Santamaria named VP and Director of Sales for Univision Los Angeles

Univision Communications Inc announced the appointment of Alejandra Santamaria to Vice President, Director of Sales of Univision Los Angeles, effective immediately. Santamaria will be based in Los Angeles and report directly to Luis Patino, President and General Manager. In her new role as Vice President, Director of Sales, Santamaria will lead the overall strategic vision for sales success across all assets and brands for Univision Los Angeles, including K-MEX Univision 34, KFTR UniMás 46, Zona MX 101.9 FM, K-Love 107.5 FM, Recuerdo 103.9 FM and 1020 KTNQ-AM. She will work with clients and partners to find solutions to their business needs while engaging with the growing and influential Hispanic community in the Southland.

Santamaria started her media career over 20 years ago as an intern at Univision Los Angeles and was hired as a research analyst upon graduating from Loyola Marymount University with a B.A. in Communications. She served in various roles within the Univision Los Angeles sales department, including as director of local sales for Univision 34 and UniMás 46, before moving to Univision Arizona in 2014 to run the local sales department as director of sales. Santamaria most recently served as president and general manager of Univision Arizona in late 2018. During her five-year tenure at Univision Arizona, the station was recognized for sales excellence, earning Univision’s first-ever Platinum Award.
