Univision Communications Inc. announced the launch of three new morning newscasts –in Dallas, Houston, San Antonio and Austin. “Primera Edición DFW” in Dallas, “Noticias 45 Primera Hora” in Houston and “Primera Hora Texas Central,” airing in both San Antonio and Austin, will run from 5-7am CST Monday through Friday and will provide viewers with the hyperlocal news, traffic, weather and information they need to get their day started. All three Texas programs mark the first time that local Spanish-language morning newscasts broadcast will be airing in those markets.
In addition to news, traffic and weather, the morning broadcasts will feature special segments focused on such key topics as immigration, health, personal finance, education, fitness, nutrition and entertainment, among others.

“Primera Edicion DFW” on KUVN Univision Dallas 23 is anchored by Johana Suarez and Miguelangel Piñero with Iriana Perez presenting weather, Cynthia Cano serving as a multi-media journalist and Angelina Armendáriz reporting on breaking news. “Noticias 45 Primera Hora” on KXLN Univision Houston 45 is led by Karina Yapor, co-anchor Nathaly Alcala, who is new to the market, along with reporter Gabriel Preciado. “Primera Hora Texas Central,” which airs on both KWEX Univision San Antonio 41 and KAKW Univision Austin 62, is co-anchored by Myrna Salas, Francisco Paco Fuentes, and Carime Hernandez with Prissila Sánchez as weather reporter and field reporters Sandy Marin in Austin and Jorge Ernesto Vinals in San Antonio.
