Univision New York wins Big at Emmys

Univision New York WXTV 41, part of Univision Communications Inc. (UCI), was honored on Saturday, March 19th with eight Emmy Awards by the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences’ New York Chapter.

Univision New York’s 6 p.m. newscast took home the Emmy for “Eric Garner Protests New York City” – the gripping broadcast which had earned a nomination for Outstanding Evening Newscast: Larger Markets. The station was bestowed an additional seven Emmy® awards after receiving 34 nominations; the most received by the station since its inception in 1968.
