ESPN Deportes presents Four Major European Soccer Finals in Ten Days

ESPN Deportes are presenting a multiplatform live coverage of top-rated tournament finals this summer – UEFA Europa League, Copa del Rey, German Cup and UEFA Champions League – from May 18 through May 28.

ESPN Deportes TV and Radio are the exclusive Spanish-language home in the U.S. of the UEFA Champions League final, the most prestigious club competition in Europe featuring Real Madrid vs. Atletico de Madrid, on Saturday, May 28, at 2:30 p.m ET.

Leading up to the Champions League, ESPN Deportes will exclusively televise the UEFA Europa League final Liverpool vs. Sevilla on Wednesday, May 18, at 2:30 p.m. In addition, ESPN will have bilingual coverage of the German Cup featuring Bayern Munich vs. Borussia Dortmund and Copa del Rey final Barcelona vs. Sevilla on Saturday, May 21, at 1:45 p.m. and Sunday, May 22, at 3:30 p.m., respectively.  

Programming Highlights:

–   Summer of Champions kicks off this Wednesday with the UEFA Europa League final on ESPN Deportes television and radio. Ricardo Ortiz and Andres Agulla will call the game on television. Studio coverage will be led by Fuera de Juego pre/post shows.

–   ESPN Deportes’ coverage of the German Cup kicks off at noon with a special SportsCenter and a Fútbol Center pre show. Richard Mendez and Tato Noriega will call the action for television. In addition, ESPN3 will carry the match live in English.

–   Copa del Rey final will air live on ESPN2 and ESPN Deportes. English-language coverage will be led by Fernando Palomo and the analysis of Alejandro Moreno, while Jorge Ramos and Hernan Pereyra will call the action for ESPN Deportes. Fuera de Juego will lead the studio coverage.

–   The UEFA Champions League Final telecast on ESPN Deportes will be complemented by more than nine hours of live programming on match day and extensive studio coverage the throughout the week. An unmatched lineup of on-air soccer experts will be reporting from Milan including: Palomo, Noriega, Jose Ramon Fernandez, 1978 FIFA World Cup winner and Golden Ball & Golden Boot recipient Mario Kempes, Roberto Gomez Junco, Ciro Procuna, Carolina Guillen, Poncho Vera, Ramos, Pereyra and Martin Ainstein plus special guests Hugo Sanchez, Mexico’s all-time top scorer in the European Cup with 17 goals, and former Argentine international and 2002 UEFA Champions League winner Santiago Solari. Sanchez and Solari are two of the few players to play for both Real Madrid and Atlético Madrid.
