High Noon Entertainment announced two reality shows green-lit straight to series by Tr3s, reinforcing its presence in the U.S. Hispanic market.
At the Tr3s 2013 Upfront in New York City, the Hispanic network announced the first of High Noon Latino’s projects: Familia de Circo, a docu-reality on El Circo Hermanos Vázquez, the largest traveling Mexican circus in the U.S. led by a family of five brothers, set to air in 2013. The second, Las Divas del Azúcar, featuring the spectacular confectionary masterpieces Divine Delicacies, a Cuban cake shop in Miami run by a beautiful mother-daughter duo and a dynamic, over-the-top cast, set to air in 2014.
“High Noon is a strong leader in content development with hit shows on our sister networks that continue to engage audiences season-after-season, and we look forward to driving the same results with our Hispanic millennial audience,” said Fernando Gaston, Brand Manager for Tr3s. “Under their production expertise, we will deliver consumer engagement and marketing solutions that bring value to our viewers and partner brands, respectively,” he added.
High Noon Entertainment launched High Noon Latino in the spring of 2012 and sold the projects in less than six months. High Noon Latino is focused on creating reality programming for U.S. Spanish-language and bilingual audiences as well as those in Latin American territories.
The two series are created by Jim Berger and Erika Navarrete. Mr. Berger is High Noon’s CEO and Executive Producer. He is co-creator of Cake Boss, Tough Love, and Guinness World Records Gone Wild, in addition to nearly all of High Noon’s current twenty-five-show slate. Ms. Navarrete is High Noon Latino’s Director of Development. Prior to heading the group, Ms. Navarrete served as a producer on High Noon shows including Discovery’s Hunted by the Mob, HGTV’s My First Sale, and DIY’s Worst Kitchen in America.
High Noon Latino’s current development slate includes various formats and talent, including dance and beauty competition formats and a dynamic Brazilian relationship expert, as well as concepts in the Quinceañera dress shop, hair salon and Mexican rodeo worlds.
