KMEX Univision 34 wins Big during the 63rd Annual Golden Mike Awards.

KMEX Univision 34 took home three Golden Mikes this weekend during the 63rd Annual Golden Mike Awards, given to news organizations who produce exemplary news segments and service. Univision Los Angeles was the only Spanish-language broadcaster to win in all nominated categories.
 
“It is a great honor to be acknowledged by our peers and on behalf of KMEX Univision 34, we thank the Radio & Television News Association for these special industry recognitions,” said Marco Flores, news director/ west coast regional director, Univision.  “We have a social responsibility to inform, entertain and empower our viewers with content that is relevant to them. We strive to deliver on our responsibility with each story we broadcast.”

“The Vaqueros” (The Cowboys) – gave an in-depth look at the contributions of Mexican immigrant vaqueros as the cowboy culture and lifestyle developed in California.
