Gibson named Sr. VP of Creative Services at Telemundo.

Telemundo Media announced the appointment of Peach Gibson as Senior Vice President of Creative Services, effective immediately. Gibson will report to Susan Solano Vila, Executive Vice President of Marketing, and will be based in Miami.

In this role, Gibson will be responsible for the visual identity and overall aesthetic of the Telemundo brand on-air and off-air and across all divisions of the network in all program genres (sports, news and entertainment). She will manage the network brand image and corporate identity. Gibson also will provide creative leadership for the annual Upfront presentation.

“With more than 25 years of experience working with global brands and production companies, Peach will be a great addition to our marketing team,” said Solano Vila. “Her leadership and global expertise will be instrumental in further evolving the Telemundo Media brand by creating and executing multiplatform marketing campaigns that capture the essence of our key franchise properties.”

Previously, Gibson served as Head of Creative at Fox Channels, which includes Fox, National Geographic, FX, BEM SIMPLES and FoxLife, since 2010. In this role, she led a creative team in charge of producing innovative promotions for the Brazilian market. In that role, she oversaw development and creation of concept, script and production and post-production for all on-air promotions.

Prior to her post at Fox Channels, Gibson served in many roles at Discovery Communications, Inc. from 1998 to 2008. Most recently, she was Vice-President of Creative and Development/Acting General Manager for Animal Planet International. In this role, she was responsible for supervising and setting strategy for the following departments: Programming and Acquisitions, Digital Media, Creative, and Marketing Production and Development. She managed a budget of over 25 million dollars annually and a team of over 75 people.

At Discovery Communications, Inc., Gibson also served as Vice President of Creative & Development for all Discovery portfolio brands in Latin America, overseeing all creative aspects of on- and off-air marketing. Prior to this, she was the Creative Director for Animal Planet International, where she led and managed all aspects of an integrated global redesign and on-air promotions. She held the position of Channel Director for Discovery Kids and Animal Planet in Latin America and implemented the first 24/7 preschool channel in the market. She joined Discovery Communications, Inc. as Director of On-Air promotions for Discovery Channel, Latin America, where she defined the vision for the channel’s look and feel.

From 1995 to 1998, Gibson was a Field Producer at Zohar Productions, Conspiracao and Fathon Films, handling projects in Miami, New York, Los Angeles, Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo. From 1985-1989, she served as an Agency Producer at Artplan Advertising in Rio de Janeiro.
