Univision announces sponsors of ¡Mira Quién Baila! 3

Univision Communications Inc. announced that NESCAFE CLÁSICO, Target, Honda, State Farm and Verizon brands and products will be integrated into “¡Mira Quién Baila! 3” (Look Who’s Dancing! 3). The third season of the hugely popular celebrity dance competition – the top rated U.S.-produced reality show in Hispanic television history – is set to premiere as part of the Univision Network’s 50th Anniversary fall season. Co-produced by Univision Studios and Endemol, “¡Mira Quién Baila!” will air Sunday nights, beginning on September 9.

“It’s indicative of the success of ‘¡Mira Quién Baila!’ that these brands have chosen the show as a platform to connect with Hispanic consumers,” said Keith Turner, president, Sales and Marketing, Univision Communications, Inc. “These integrations, along with the show’s unique mix of celebrities, dancing and drama, will be sure to engage viewers once again.”

NESCAFÉ CLÁSICO is the official beverage sponsor of the show and will participate in an integration featuring “¡Mira Quién Baila!” choreographer Javier “Poty” Castillo. For Hispanics, the best conversations take place over a cup of coffee and for Poty, it’s no different. To highlight this, Poty will have heart-to-heart conversations with his celebrity dancers, offering advice while enjoying a cup of NESCAFÉ CLÁSICO. The brand is also sponsoring a weekly online video segment, “Momentos de Café con Poty,” on a dedicated hub where celebrity dancers have a cafecito and share behind-the-scenes insights into the competition. On the dedicated NESCAFÉ CLÁSICO hub, viewers can also enter a sweepstakes and sign up to receive mobile video alerts from rehearsals.

Target will again feature the “Centro de Belleza de Target” (Target Beauty Center) integration in the series. The Target Beauty Center is the exclusive lounge where contestants are interviewed prior to each dance performance. The center will feature Target beauty products, including Sonia Kashuk, NP Set and Pixi, JK Jemma, Up&Up and Umberto, and also will provide viewers with backstage access to the dancers preparing for their performances.

Honda is the exclusive automotive sponsor of the show utilizing the show to showcase the launch of the all-new, redesigned 2013 Accord. Custom integrated features in “¡Mira Quién Baila!” will highlight the technology and safety features of the new “made with you in mind” Accord.

State Farm will recognize the contestant who has improved the most from week to week with the “Un Mejor Estado” award, incorporating the brand’s campaign “get to a better state.” Poty and co-host Chiquinquirá Delgado will bestow the honor in the shows leading up to the finale, along with $5,000 to be awarded to the contestant’s charity of choice.

Verizon, the exclusive mobile sponsor of “¡Mira Quién Baila!” will provide an enhanced viewing experience to Verizon Wireless mobile subscribers through the company’s iconic telecommunication tools. Powered by the nation’s largest 4G LTE network, available to more than 75 percent of the U.S. population, subscribers will receive the benefits of behind-the-scenes program content. Verizon Wireless fans also have the opportunity to vote for their favorite contestant by sending a text message straight from their mobile devices. Additionally, Johnny Lozada, co-host of Univision’s morning program “Despierta America” (Wake up America) will serve as the Verizon brand backstage stream ambassador.

Co-hosted by Javier Poza and Chiquinquirá Delgado, “¡Mira Quién Baila!” pairs a group of Hispanic celebrities with dancers showcasing their moves to a variety of rhythms. Every week, contestants rotate partners and compete in front of a live studio audience, while an expert panel of judges selects the top dancers. The upcoming season will feature more reality elements as viewers will be able witness more from the stars as they prepare for competition.
