GLR renews exclusive Rights Agreement with Chivas de Guadalajara

Grupo Latino de Radio (GLR) announced the renewal of their agreement with Mexican soccer team Chivas de Guadalajara for the exclusive radio broadcast rights of the team’s home games in the national league for the United States and Canada, until the end of Torneo de Clausura 2016.

GLR has held these exclusive rights since 2008. Starting with Torneo de Apertura 2008 the home games in the national league of Mexican soccer fans’ favorite team Chivas have been distributed exclusively by GLR Networks to its affiliated radio stations.

This is currently the only exclusive Mexican soccer league property in the US.

In making the announcement, Blanca Navas, Director of Affiliations for GLR, stated, “We are proud to continue bringing Chivas de Guadalajara’s game – the most exciting and traditional soccer team in Mexico – to our stations and to the team’s fans in the U.S.”.

Advertising and Sales Director Luis Gutierrez added: “Chivas de Guadalajara is a great brand with proven success, and clients want to associate their name with the team. Having the chance to offer high quality and effective programming like this is a privilege.”
