Newman-Carrasco honored at Stevie Awards for Women in Business

Walton|Isaacson (WI) executive executive Rochelle Newman-Carrasco won Best Executive – Service Businesses – up to 100 Employees in the Stevie Awards for Women in Business.

The Stevie Awards for Women in Business honor women executives, entrepreneurs, and the companies they run – worldwide. The awards are one of four Stevie Awards programs, which have been hailed as the world’s premier business awards.

More than 300 nominees and their guests attended the awards dinner at New York’s Marriott Marquis Hotel last week. The event benefitted Camfed (camfed.org), which fights poverty and HIV/AIDS in Africa by educating girls and empowering women to become leaders of change.

Business professionals worldwide chose finalists in the competition during preliminary judging. Members of six final judging committees selected Stevie Award winners from among the Finalists during final judging. More than 200 professionals worldwide participated in the judging process this year.

“It’s truly an honor to have received this Stevie Award and to be in the company of such talented business women, all of whom are making meaningful professional contributions,” Newman-Carrasco said. “While I’m the recipient, the award truly belongs to all those that have allowed me toenjoy success and have so much fun along the way.”
