MEXICANAL Network has added Veracruz as a new affiliate to its growing roster. MEXICANAL viewers will now have access to content from this important region, which represents the heritage of 6% of the burgeoning Mexican population now calling the United States home.
Thanks to the agreements MEXICANAL has signed with Radio y Televisión de Veracruz, Veracruz programming will begin airing in October, with the launch of “Coctel 212,” a magazine show featuring a perfect mix of music and entertainment, as well as the latest trends in fashion and lifestyle. “Coctel 212” is one of the top local TV shows from Veracruz.
The lineup will also include “DX Deportes Extremos,” which covers extreme sport events throughout Mexico, such as motocross and off-road competitions.
“From day one, our goal has been to entertain and inform the growing number of Mexicans living in the US with content from their hometowns, which include a multitude of regions, not merely Mexico City,” said MEXICANAL COO and General Manager, Maria Urquiaga. “Our relationships with local affiliates are key to the fulfillment of our mission, and we are very pleased to welcome Radio y Televisión de Veracruz into our family.”
