Reyes named General Sales Manager of Mega TV Houston.

Spanish Broadcasting System Inc., (“SBS”) announced the appointment of Gerardo Reyes as General Sales Manager for MegaTV KTBU-Channel 55, SBS’s television property. In his new role, Mr. Reyes will be responsible for regional “spot” sales for MegaTV in Houston, Texas, while coordinating and overseeing local sales representatives. Based in Houston, Texas, Reyes will assume his new responsibilities immediately.

“An esteemed professional with a strong record of success and understanding of the local TV businesses, Gerardo is the ideal person to oversee sales for our Houston station,” said Donny Hudson, VP of SBS Sales. “His media expertise coupled with the power and reach of the leading Houston station in Hispanic media positions MegaTV for continued growth.”

Reyes was previously a General Sales Manager for Liberman Broadcasting Inc. in Houston, Texas. Prior to joining MegaTV, from 2002 to 2004, he was Retail Manager for WPAT 93.1FM Amor and WSKQ La Mega 97.9FM in New York. He also held managerial roles at Radio Uno, Radio Unica, WSUA Caracol Radio, WADO 1280AM Radio. Gerardo also has extensive experience negotiating sports rights and is a pioneer in producing sports programming. This includes soccer, basketball, boxing and cycling.
