On Monday, September 26 at 8:00 pm (ET/PT), Vme launches the U.S. premiere of Miedo a Amar (Fear of Loving), the acclaimed Italian drama series from Rai Fiction, that chronicles the strife, secrets, passion, relationships and bonds of a powerful family at the pinnacle of society.
Miedo a Amar follows the life of Stefano Loi who has everything — a beautiful wife, two wonderful children and control of a pharmaceutical empire. He has family, class, money and lives a life of high society. But fate is fickle — and when Stefano’s wife Emma dies in a car accident, his perfect life crumbles and everything that he held dear fades away from him.
Asia, beautiful, pure and from very humble origins enters Stefano’s life as the babysitter of his estranged children and slowly begins to piece his family back together. She teaches the children to love and trust again while winning the heart of their father. Against the wishes of his wealthy family and especially the widow of his beloved brother Gino, Stefano falls in love with Asia — in spite of the fact that Asia’s mother is the woman convicted of Gino’s murder. Can their love survive their seemingly irreconcilable differences? Can Stephen overcome his fear of loving and be happy once again?
This powerful Italian drama series stars the stylish Giorgio Lupano (Stefano) and the enchanting Erica Banchi (Asia). Miedo a Amar (Fear of Loving) is beautifully shot on location in Naples, Italy and the breathtaking views help set the stage for this romantic drama.
The series will air Mondays at 8:00 pm (ET/PT), with an encore presentation on Mondays at 11:00pm (ET/PT) and Sundays at 4:00pm (ET/PT).
