Telemundo selects talent for Taller de Actores Telemundo.

Telemundo selected 23 out of the 43 talented young Hispanic actors who participated in “Taller de Actores Telemundo” (Telemundo Acting Workshop) to move on to the final phase of its innovative casting process.
From these 23 young actors and actresses, the Spanish-language network will select 12 talents to have a role in its upcoming original production “Físico o Química” to be produced in Miami, Florida.
The names of the finalists who will enter the final stage of this acting program created by Telemundo Studios were revealed on an afternoon filled with emotion in front of participants of the acting workshop, instructors, Telemundo executives, friends and family.
This week, finalists from United States, Mexico and Puerto Rico, will begin a series of intense workshops now focused on the characters of “Físico o Química,” which will start taping at the end of this year.
The finalists are: Cristina Mason, Ana Grajales, María del Pilar Pérez, Sharlene Taule, Ana Lorena Sánchez, Abigail Molina, Jenny Arzola, Yrahid Leylanny, Zasha Fernández, Alma Matrecito, Ana Osorio, Jonathan Freudman, Jason Canela, Juan Felipe Rangel, Alex Hernández, Alexander Torres, Jesús Licciardello, Willy Martín, Kevin Aponte, Mateo Restrepo, Oscar Priego, Danilo Carrera and Isaac Reyes.
“Taller de Actores Telemundo” for “Físico o Quimica” began with a national call for actors and actresses aged 18-22 which draw more than six hundred applications. After the first cast call with 120 participants, 43 young Hispanics were selected to participate in the workshop.
“Fisico o Quimica” is a story about interpersonal dynamics between parents, students and teachers in an urban area high school and their stories of love, loss and conflict. This is a compelling drama based on a groundbreaking Spanish series, now adapted by Telemundo and crafted especially for the U.S. Hispanic audience.
