Vme Kids expands its Footprint.

Vme Kids increases its distribution with Verizon Fios. The increased distribution via Verizon FiOS will bring the best of Spanish-language pre-school content, including public television favorites, to subscribers nationwide.

Verizon FiOS launched Vme Kids on Channel 1721 on May 23 in Florida, California and Texas and will extend the service to all FiOS TV markets by the middle of June.

With Spanish-TV’s largest slate of preschool programming already on air, Vme will now be the exclusive Spanish-language home for Barney™, Bob the Builder™, Angelina Ballerina™ and Thomas & Friends™. With the addition of these shows to its extraordinary library of programs that include Plaza Sesamo, LazyTown and many others, Vme now airs the six most popular children’s franchises in the world.

Created for kids ages 2-6 and their co-viewing parents and caregivers, Vme Kids is home to award-winning children’s shows that empower kids with innovative, entertaining, curriculum-based content. Vme Kids is a safe, fun and engaging place offering no direct response ads or other non-relevant and potentially inappropriate content. Vme uses this valuable air-time to further help young children and their families in fun and engaging ways.

President and CEO, Carmen M. DiRienzo said, “We are delighted that Verizon FiOS is bringing Vme Kids’ Spanish language preschool programming to children and their caregivers. Vme’s programming and marketing platforms provide Verizon FiOS with the highest quality Spanish preschool entertainment that is a real service to the community and can equip kids in their market with the skills they need to be school-ready.”

“Vme Kids is an excellent addition to our Spanish-language lineup for FiOS TV viewing households. It’s a great asset in our efforts to provide quality programming that parents and families can enjoy as part of the FiOS experience,” said Verizon’s director of multicultural marketing Oscar Madrid.
