Entravision Communications Corporation goes for Gold with CONCACAF Gold Cup Matches.

Entravision Communications Corporation announced it will broadcast the CONCACAF Gold Cup matches on its Univision and TeleFutura affiliate television stations from June 5-25, 2011. Entravision’s Univision affiliates will air a total of ten matches, including three quarter-final matches, two semi-final matches and the final match, with the TeleFutura affiliates airing seven matches.
 
The United States will serve as host nation with games being played in soccer venues across the country. The tournament, which includes the popular Mexican national team, will host teams from North America, Central America and the Caribbean nations.

From our top local Spanish-language newscasts, to special events and sporting matches like last year’s highly successful World Cup, Entravision recognizes the importance of providing the U.S. Hispanic population with all of the information and content that is most relevant to them,” said Walter F. Ulloa, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Entravision. “Soccer is an integral part of Hispanic culture and we look forward to keeping viewers on the edge of their seats on the road to the final matchup later this month.”
 
A number of national and local advertisers have been attracted to Entravision’s stations for this event, including Comcast, Jack in the Box, BP/ARCO, Mattress Firm and Valvoline.
