Wing bolsters Creative Team.

Alain Groenendaal, President and CEO of Wing announced the appointment of a new creative team: Jamie Tao, Art Director, and Xoch Serrano, Copywriter.

The duo will be based in New York, working on brands including Downy, Ketel One, Johnnie Walker and Goya, in addition to supporting new business efforts. They will report to Wing’s Chief Creative Officer, Gustavo Asman.

“Jamie and Xoch are both incredible talents who will bring a fresh perspective to Wing’s creative team,” Groenendaal said. “We’re thrilled they are joining our growing agency.”

Jamie Tao joins from Alma DDB, where she worked as an Art Director on clients including McDonald’s, State Farm, H&R Block, Bacardi, the Miami Dolphins and Cricket Wireless. Prior to that, she was a designer at the e-commerce site Databazaar.com

Tao’s accolades include: multiple AAF Addy Awards, a Bronze Effie Award for State Farm’s “Intersections” campaign, and features in the books Handmade Fonts and Coloring Book by Doodlers Anonymous. Tao graduated from the University of Miami with a dual degree in journalism and studio art.

“Wing is a truly unique agency,” Tao said, “It’s a fast-paced and exciting environment, and I knew that by joining the team here I would be inspired everyday.”

Xoch Serrano also joins from Alma DDB, where she worked as a Senior Copywriter on brands including State Farm, McDonald’s, Perdue and Cricket Wireless, in addition to pursuing new business. Prior to that, Serrano was a copywriter at Fox Latin American Networks and Univision Interactive Marketing.

Serrano has won industry honors including: multiple AAF Addys, a Bronze Effie Award for State Farm’s “Intersections” campaign and second place in the 2008 Young Creatives Contest.

“Wing’s people, work and clients were a tremendous draw,” Serrano said. “I’m excited to be here.”
