“Jay is a great person and unique talent. He has a real passion for the work we do, knows our network and our clients, along with all the energy and the skills required to help lead us to continued success in Latin America,” said Tom Carroll, President & CEO, TBWA Worldwide.
Carroll continued, “I would also like to thank Gerard for his commitment to the TBWA network and more specifically the role he has played in restructuring our Buenos Aires agency, opening our Latin America hub office in Miami, as well as his continued contribution to our TBWA Group in Belgium. I look forward to an opportunity to work with Gerard in connection with some of our new ventures.”
Bertram joined Chiat\Day back in 1989, where he began as an account director. He quickly became the co-managing director responsible for new business, helping to win and manage Canadian Airlines, Experience Canada, Shoppers Drug Mart, Microsoft and the Toronto Zoo.
“We have a great team in place in Canada. And with the recent additions of Jack Neary and soon to arrive Julia Foster, Marcus Evans in Toronto and our strong Montreal team that includes Huges Choquette and Martin Sansregret, I am ready for my next challenge,” said Bertram. “This new role is a great opportunity to embrace new ideas and will allow me to draw upon my experience in building global brands and developing regional capabilities.”
