Lopez Negrete Communications was deemed the winningest agency at the 49th Annual American Advertising Federation of Houston ADDY Awards show. “Today’s advertising industry is far more competitive and demanding than it has ever been. Not only does the creative have to be compelling, differentiating and memorable, it also must be highly strategic, work across various channels – and, ultimately, produce results for our clients,” said President, Chief Executive Officer and Chief Creative Officer Alex López Negrete. “It is rewarding to see that our work, which delivers on all points, continues to be recognized by our peers as best-in-class. And certainly, the Best of Show and Special Judges awards are extremely satisfying, especially when awarded at one show. I applaud our team for generating tremendous work and honor our clients for the opportunity they give us to produce award-winning creative while driving their business.”
The 36 awards were divided among many of the agency’s accounts, including eight Gold ADDYs earned for work on behalf of Bank of America; Kraft Foods (2); Lopez Negrete Communications (2); Wal-Mart Stores (2) and Dr Pepper Snapple Group for 7UP (1).
The 15 Silver ADDYs were awarded for: MillerCoors (7); Wal-Mart Stores (3); Bank of America (2); and one award each, respectively, for ZapBoomBang, Maseca, and Lopez Negrete Communications.
Citations of Excellence were awarded to MillerCoors (4); Bank of America (3); Wal-Mart Stores (3); and Cesar Millan Foundation (1).
The AAF ADDY® Awards function on a three-tier system with winners in the local clubs moving to the regional level. Lopez Negrete’s 10 Gold ADDYs and 15 Silver ADDYs will compete at the AAF 10th district, with entrants from Arkansas, Louisiana and Oklahoma.
