Membiela named VP of Marketing and Public Relations at Baptist Health.

Roymi V. Membiela has been appointed Corporate Vice President of Marketing and Public Relations for Baptist Health South Florida. In this new role, she will lead Baptist Health’s marketing and communications efforts for all of its hospitals and facilities.

Ms. Membiela previously served six years as Assistant Vice President of Marketing and Public Relations for Baptist Health, where she was responsible for spearheading marketing and outreach efforts to South Florida’s Hispanic communities, Baptist Outpatient Services, Physicians Referral Services, Digital Marketing and the new West Kendall Baptist Hospital. Ms. Membiela has been the producer and host of “Health, Life & Community”, radio programs in two languages, focused on health care awareness, prevention and early detection; she is the founder and editor of the award-winning Baptist Salud, a quarterly Spanish-language health and wellness lifestyle magazine.

Prior to joining Baptist Health, she was Senior Vice President for KSR, a Coral Gables-based communications firm, where she was responsible for launching the communication efforts for the Miami Dade Expressway Authority and the introduction of electronic toll collection ‘SunPass.’ Prior to her consulting career, she enjoyed a 17-year tenure at The Miami Herald and El Nuevo Herald, where she was responsible for advertising, marketing and new business development.
