Padrón joins ESPN Deportes Sports News Program

ESPN Deportes announced the latest addition to SportsCenter, the station’s flagship sports news program. Known for her sports communications experience and charisma, Carolina Padrón will make her debut on the program the week of December 20.

“Carolina will connect with viewers with her fresh and entertaining style of delivering the news, highlights and plays,” said Rodolfo Martínez, Vice President of Production for ESPN International and ESPN Deportes. “She brings with her years of experience, a passion for sports, and great enthusiasm, which are all fundamental to her unique personality.”

I welcome the challenge and look forward to sharing my passion and sports experience with ESPN’s fans.”

Padrón began her career in her native Venezuela working for Meridiano Televisión, one of the top sports channels in the country. She is also well-known and loved for her work as a soccer reporter for the radio program “Escuela Vinotinto.” Padrón went on to become a field journalist reporting on Venezuelan soccer matches and as a commentator for the FIFA U-20 World Cup in Germany and the FIFA U-17 World Cup in Trinidad and Tobago. In 2007, she covered the Copa América in Venezuela for Telefutura. In addition to the experience that she acquired in Venezuela, Padrón covered top sporting events for Radio Marca in Madrid, Spain.
