W Radio 690 AM commemorates Mexico’s Bicentennial.

W Radio 690 AM announced the station’s participation in the Mexican Bicentennial Independence Day Parade and Festival that will take place in East L.A. this coming Sunday September 12th, starting at noon.

The event marks Mexico’s 200 years of Independence and will be a family oriented celebration, full of music, food and entertainment. The Parade will begin at N. Indiana Street and E. Cesar Chavez Avenue and culminate in Belvedere Park.

Among other celebrities, W Radio’s host Humberto Luna will participate in the parade. Luna will be accompanied by actor Jacob Vargas who is starring in the upcoming Universal Pictures’ movie “Devil” (in theaters on September 17th).

Plácido Domingo will be the Grand Marshall of the celebration, and the parade will also feature internationally acclaimed artist and conceptual designer Raul Rodriguez’s floats. Rodriguez is a premier designer for the Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena and has won more awards than any other designer in the history of the parade.
