VSBrooks Advertising to handle Hispanic Outreach for Florida Dept. Highway Safety & Motor Vehicles.
July 12, 2010
VSBrooks Advertising won the competitive bidding of the Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles’ campaign directed to Florida’s Hispanic community, on the dangers of distracted driving.
The aim of this campaign was to educate the public on the perils of distracted driving, and to encourage more attentive behavior by the public while traveling the Florida roadways.
The campaign was deployed in Miami-Dade, Broward, Hendry, Hardee, Osceola, deSoto, Collier, Okeechobee, and Hillsborough counties, against two distinct at-risk target groups, through a comprehensive radio campaign, impactful bilingual collateral pieces that included posters and rack cards, and live broadcast interviews of state officials in top radio and television stations.
Explained Diana Brooks, Managing Partner at VSBrooks: “For us, working with a state agency is a natural. VSBrooks has substantial experience managing marketing strategies for regulated industries within Florida. We have created a number of preventive campaigns for our healthcare clients, with proven results in creating awareness of situations that could result in negative outcomes, and then helping change detrimental behavioral patterns.”
