Farmers Insurance lead sponsor of Premios Texas 2010.

Farmers Insurance announced its partnership with the 6th annual “Premios Texas 2010” as Presenting Sponsor. The award show will be taped on August 12 in Austin, Texas, at the Joe and Teresa Long Center for the Performing Arts.

Farmers spokesperson, actor Edward James Olmos, will present the Lifetime Achievement Award to a performer who, during his or her career, has made creative contributions of outstanding artistic significance to Latin music. Mr. Olmos will also be available for interviews during the red carpet ceremony.

“At Farmers, we are thrilled to support all these talented musicians through our support of this show. As with “Premios Texas 2010”, an awards show that gives fans the power to choose the winners, Farmers Insurance gives consumers the ability to choose coverages that best fit their lifestyle,” said Luisa Acosta-Franco, Vice President of Multicultural Marketing for Farmers Insurance.

Leading up to the “Premios Texas 2010”, Farmers Insurance held a statewide sweepstakes where five (5) lucky winners will obtain a VIP experience including front row seats and backstage passes to the show. Television advertising, e-blasts, and online banners directed consumers to register online through Univision.com and with local Spanish speaking Farmers agents.

“Being active and participating in the community, where we live and work, is an inherit part of the Farmers culture,” said John Henle, Farmers State Executive Director for South Texas. “Being part of ‘Premios Texas 2010’ allows our agents to share in the excitement and demonstrates our support to the community.”
