Castello named VP General Manager of WLIE-AM.

Principle Broadcasting Network has appointed Michael Castello Vice President/General Manager of WLIE-AM in the Long Island/New York market. Castello had previously been Vice President Syndication Advertising Sales for American Latino Syndication-LATV Networks.

“Michael brings a wealth of operating and sales experience not only to WLIE-AM, but to all of the Principle Broadcasting Network,” said Principle President and CEO, Bill Saurer. “We are very pleased to have him on our team.

Castello said, “With the acquisition of KLOK-AM from Univision in San Francisco and the significant signal upgrade of WLIE-AM in New York, Principle Broadcasting has demonstrated a determination to provide alternative broadcast platforms in major markets to Spanish-language and multicultural audiences. Add big signals in Dallas and San Jose, targeted stations in Boston and it‚s clear that Principle will be a growing force in this space for years to come. Principle Broadcasting Network operates seven stations including WLIE-AM in Long Island/New York, WJDA-AM and WESX-AM in Boston, KHSE-AM and KFCD-AM in Dallas, and KLOK-AM and KCNL-FM in the San Jose/San Francisco Bay Area.
