Comcast expanded its programming for Hispanic customers in greater Philadelphia and New Jersey with the launch of Galavision. Galavision is now available to customers on Comcast Digital Classic channel 567. With this launch, customers will now have access to all of Galavision’s content, including exclusive coverage of the 2010 FIFA World Cup and hundreds of hours of additional coverage.
“Comcast is dedicated to providing our customers with information and entertainment that reflect their diverse interests,” said Amy Smith, senior vice president of Comcast’s Freedom Region. “We continue to deliver on that commitment with the addition of networks like Galavision and the expansion of our multicultural programming selection for customers.”
“For more than 30 years, Galavision has offered news, sports and entertainment programming that is not available anywhere else on Spanish-language cable,” said Deanna Andaverde, senior vice president, Field Operations, Univision Communications. “We are pleased to partner with Comcast to connect with the dynamic Hispanic community in New Jersey and the Philadelphia area.”
