Cordero named Executive VP & GM of Fox Sports en Español

Vincent Cordero has been named executive vice president and general manager of Fox Sports en Español (FSE), it was announced by David Hill, chairman & chief executive officer, Fox Sports Media Group (FSMG). Mr. Cordero reports to Hernan Lopez, president and chief operating officer, Fox International Channels, who in turn reports to Mr. Hill with respect to this role. Mr. Cordero, a native of Los Angeles, assumes his new position on July 1, 2010.

Raul De Quesada, who led Fox Sports en Español as acting general manager, achieving significant ratings gains through the transition, is staying on as assistant general manager, with the added title of senior vice president, marketing, Hispanic Networks.

In his new role at FSE, Mr. Cordero assumes day-to-day responsibility for the network’s P&L, production, programming, development, research, marketing, on-air promotion, scheduling, distribution strategy and identifying new media and business opportunities for the nation’s leader in Hispanic sports media.

“Over the last several years with Univision, Vincent demonstrated a consistent ability to develop talent, innovate and create partnerships that resulted in revenue growth, new program formats, enhanced service and station efficiencies.” said Mr. Hill. “His ability to integrate television programming with traditional and new media platforms is essential as we look to the future.”
